Cindy Benjamin

Cindy is a science and technical communicator specialising in extending best management practice in agriculture. She works with producers and researchers to tell their story and investigate solutions to production and environmental problems.

 

She has over 25 years experience in agricultural extension, journalism and information management. Working as a freelance features writer for major agricultural publications such as the Australian Canegrower, Queensland Country Life, Small Farms, Rural Weekly (Wide Bay edition), and the now-closed Australian Farm Journal, Cindy has established strong relationships within the Australian rural media and with producers and researchers.

 

Writing on behalf of her clients, Cindy's work is regularly published in the national rural press and in industry magazines such as Australian Grain, Australian Cottongrower and Cotton and Grain Outlook.

 

Cindy has excellent skills in literature reviewing and research, interviewing, writing, editing, communication planning, photography and desk-top publishing for print and web-based information products. She enjoys being part of the journey between research and the implementation of best management practice in agri-business.

 

Cindy holds a Graduate Diploma in Editing and Publishing from the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), a Masters degree in Natural Resource Management from the University of New England (UNE) and a Bachelor degree in Rural Science, also from UNE.
